Have you ever uttered those words? Lots of my clients have and I'm quick to share with them Parkinson's Law, which states, "Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion."
So too does clutter. When you make more money, you tend to spend more money. When you have more space, you tend to fill more space. Sorry man, I didn't make the rules, I'm just telling you how it is! The truth is, if you can't be organized and relatively clutter-free in a small space you sure as heck won't be able to do it in a larger space.
That being said, I believe that we can make the most of small spaces by being clever and creative in the way we store things and the products we choose. This is one of my favorite products and I only recently discovered it at The Container Store. I used to be able to store four pairs of shoes on that 24-inch ELFA shelf, but thanks to the Shoe Space Saver I can fit SIX pairs into the same space!
